You don't need a mandate

Following on from yesterday’s note on the API Mandate and data contracts, I wan’t to be clear you don’t need to mandate data contracts to get adoption.

Instead, focus on making data contracts as easy to create and manage as APIs, by investing in your data platform.

While simultaneously educating everyone in the business on the importance of the data applications you are building and how they align to the organisations goals.

Over time, data contracts will just become how you do data.

Just like how APIs are how you do service integrations.

You don’t need a mandate to succeed with data contracts.
