Learn from your incidents

·1 min

Data engineering is complex, and things will go wrong. Following up on incidents with some form of analysis helps:

  • Prevent the same type of incident from repeating
  • Improve the engineering quality of your applications
  • Increase the visibility of your data incidents and their root causes

By getting together after an incident and performing a post-mortem you can uncover a set of follow-up actions that can:

  • Reduce the impact on users of future incidents
  • Reduce the risk that this incident happens again
  • Reduce the costs of responding to future incidents

Take the opportunity to learn from your incidents.
