# Data contracts and data mesh panel

I had a great panel discussion with [Amy Raygada](https://www.linkedin.com/in/amy-raygada/) and facilitated by [Jean-Georges Perrin](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jgperrin/) for [Data Mesh Radio](https://daappod.com/data-mesh-radio/).

We covered a lot, including how and where data contracts should be defined, how they are essential for data products (which themselves are essential for data mesh), and how really it all comes down to people and communication.
