Winter Granola Recipe
I’ve recently starting making my own Granola. It’s really easy, much healthier than shop bought Granola (no added sugar!) and I can make it exactly how I want it.
My favourite at the moment is what I’m calling my “Winter Granola”.
Based off this recipe from Nics Nutrition, I used the following ingredients:
- 200g Tesco organic oats (the oats are bigger than their standard oats)
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- A good sized handful of sunflower seeds
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon (added before cooking)
- A few handfuls of raisins, freeze dried diced apple and freeze dried sliced cherry
The freeze dried fruit from Amazon is a little expensive, but are the only ones I could find without added sugar, and they taste great. With the amount I am using they will probably last 4 or 5 bakes.
