It’s been great! Made some new friends, and really enjoyed starting a new, challenging sport. Few things better than spending a Saturday morning on the river in the fresh air, concentrating on that next stroke!
Furthermore, my fitness has improved dramatically. I notice it most when running, where I’ve shaved off 5 mins from my half marathon PB and am hoping for a sub 4 hour time at my first marathon in April.
I’m now on a Learn to Race course, working hard on my 30mins, r20 distance (up to 6944m from 6726m a month ago), and hoping to do a race later this year.
